One thing some of our readers don't know is that Ethan and I both work full time jobs outside of doing this blog. And I must say - we are both pretty darn good at our jobs as well.

Thus, every now and then we need a vacation. After all, millions of liberals are depending on our paycheck.

SO - I will be leaving America for the lovely land of Mexico for the next 9 days. Fret not, I have my SB1070 shirt all packed and ready to go.

So if the blog slows down a bit for the next week or so please know it's because Ethan is the only one blogging during that period. Also please note; Ethan blogging while on his period during that period is a funny thought.

I'll take lots of pics!

Thanks everyone.

John Cusack is not taking the decline and fall of his O-boner very well:

"I AM FOR A SATANIC DEATH CULT CENTER AT FOX NEWS HQ AND OUTSIDE THE OFFICES ORDICK ARMEYAND NEWT GINGRICH-and all the GOP WELFARE FREAKS," Cusack tweeted.

He seems to be calling for violence against those he perceives as not conforming to his ideology. Let's skip past the 'What if a Republican did this...' statement, and ask why this nut job isn't being investigated by Nancy Pelosi? After all, it was she who was so worried of threats of this nature, was it not? Beverly Hills psychiatrist Carole Lieberman had this to say:

His provocative tweets could easily incite a rabid fan to commit violent acts against Fox News Headquarters and others he names.

Hopefully even the most unhinged lunatics will know better than to take Cusack seriously.

Cusack, if you read this — open challenge to you, man. I live in Hollywood, I'm a no name lil' blogger and would love to sit down, grab a beer, and hear you out on this and have a discussion on why you feel this way. If not, I totally understand; I run into keyboard warriors daily. But seriously, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, cause frankly I haven't been able to figure it out other than you may be joking.

Ethan, when you read this buddy I got an idea. How about: since we live in Hollywood, we do some sort of running tab on the site of Hollywood's biggest liberal loonies. You know, rank them, give them Pokemon attributes, etc. A nice lil' reminder to everyone of what actor/actresses/producer etc. decided to bash the views of a large portion of Americans.

From there the informed can vote with their pocketbooks. Cause frankly, I'm sick of this shiz.

Criminals guardians of animal welfare have struck again:

Police say break-ins at two fur farms have set more than 50,000 minks on the loose in northern Greece.

Now the 50,000 minks can live happily ever after. They can frolic with their fellow animal friends, go on to make little mink babies, raise them to be responsible mink citizens, and cry as they head off to mink college. Or maybe not:

The National Fur Breeders' Association says most of the released animals are likely to die in the late-August heat. It says the cost to the farm owners could pass euro1 million ($1.27 million).

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident. But an animal rights group, calling itself the "Hawks of Reprisal," said it was responsible for a similar break-in last year.

The cost doesn't matter and the havoc wrecked by these criminals doesn't matter. The fact that the animals will die senselessly and miserably doesn't matter. All those issues are moot in my opinion. But the lefty animal right activists giving themselves an excuse to wallow in sanctimony: that's what matters.

Typical display of modern liberalism: someone (or some group) acting with only the "best" of intentions making conditions much WORSE after their actions, rather than before. And yet, their actions will never be evaluated, only their intentions. *sigh*

There's an area off the coast of Puerto Rico nicknamed "Hurricane Alley." Guess why it's called that? Because it produces lots of hurricanes. It's been producing hurricanes for centuries, well-before man was releasing copious amounts of carbon dioxide in the air.

So there's a new hurricane, Hurricane Earl, on path to wreak havoc on the southeast United States. And quicker than you can say "Al Gore invented the internet" someone is blaming Hurricane Earl on global warming:

[Hurricane Earl] may be quite the wild way to end the summer of 2010. And what hot and unusual weather this summer has seen already. A blasting hurricane to end this season would not be a surprise at all. Global warming seems to have changed our weather patterns in ways in which even the scientists don't even yet understand.

Um, exactly what "weather pattern" has changed? There have been hurricanes on the southeast coast of the United States before inhabitants even bothered to keep records of such things. (Cue the liberal digression about how white people slaughtered Native Americans.)

Granted, the author of the article I cited is a relative nobody, not a member of the mainstream media. But then again, aren't all members of the mainstream media "relative nobodies" nowadays? (I'm looking at you, Katie Couric.)

So buckle up, Florida, because things might get hectic soon. And for the rest of the country, literally buckle up, because cars are good, and you should use them without fear of warming/destroying the planet.

I mean seriously, the guy's got 1 trick, and he's been using it since 2007: blame Republicans; usually, George W. Bush. You would think after 3 years of whining and pointing his finger like a little boy that his advisors would, well, advise him to try something new.

But nope. Today was more of the same:

“Drop the blockade,” he said to Senate Republicans, whom he said were “holding this bill hostage,” damaging economic growth...

The president said the small business lending initiative would help business owners... [He added] "Unfortunately, this bill has been languishing in the Senate for months, held up by a partisan minority that won't even allow it to go to a vote. That makes no sense.”

"The bill is fully paid for. And there's no reason to block it besides pure partisan politics," he said.

Ha! Just like Obamacare is fully paid for, just like Social Security is fully paid for, just like Medicare and Medicaid and the Post Office and.... well, you get the idea.

I don't know exactly why Republicans are holding the bill up, but you know what? I don't even really care: anything Obama wants to pass should be held up indefinitely, because he and his party are so good at sneaking in devilish details in the fine print that a vote shouldn't be had until the entire bill is gone through with a fine-tooth comb. And I believe the fine-tooth comb is still being used on the 2,000-page-plus Obamacare bill, so it looks like the new jobs bill is gonna have to wait.

In the meantime the economy will continue to spiral, and Obama will frantically find new ways to blame others. I think he needs a 12-step plan.

Step 1: admit you have a problem.
